Reflex Advanced Marine Corp (RAM) was formed in 1993 by Master Boat Builder and designer Ian Taylor. In the early years it was strictly a Research and Development Company operated on a part-time basis to further the design of an innovative tri-hulled craft called
Reflex™, a next generation type of marine craft targeting the security and defense sectors.
As the design and prototype testing progressed it became apparent that a revolutionary new design of vessel was emerging, one that presented significant commercial opportunity.
In late 1997 it was decided to move the project forward on a full-time basis. Private investment was secured and the company proceeded to finalize designs, secure its intellectual property, and develop manufacturing methods suited to mass production with exacting quality control.
